Following this e-meeting
, we decided to create a centralized page where contributors can see/write details about the current sprint (iteration) tasks, and list tasks that would come in later sprints.
Sprint 1 - May 26 - June 13
LinkedIn (Eric)
People e-mail requests to JavaBlackBelt dot admin at gmail dot com, for being part of the JavaBlackBelt linkedin group. The task is, for the duration of the sprint, to:
- read these mails regularly,
- check if these people have a blue or brown belt
- if they have, accept them in the linkedIn group (or send them an invitation via linkedin)
- kindly reply their mail that it's done or rejected.
Fill Auction Room (Michiels)
People told in this thread http://www.javablackbelt.com/forum/posts/list/29.page
what they'd like to have in the auction room. The task is to fill the auction room with these items (+ the item you like that are on amazon).
You need some admin priviledges on the platform from John first (contact me). As we did before, do the auction pre-fill as follow:
- start a new auction every week
- end the auction 3h later than the previous auction (to give every time zone a chance)
- make auctions be open more or less 10 days.
- put a picture (usually I get it from amazon)
- and a text (from amazon too).
Michiel Dollenkamp has taken this task.
Put Struts 2 exam on-line (Alex)
Objectives for Struts 2 exam are ready. You need administrator rights from John to put them in our DB (via some web screens).
It means to create the exam and its categories (including the objectives description text).
Then you create a news to announce it.
Put JavaMail exam on-line (volunteer needed)
Idem as Struts 2 (above).Put jQuery exam on-line (Graeme)
Idem as Struts 2 (above), and additionally, you need to convince the author that it's more than time to publish these objectives (via mail).Identify exam candidates (volunteer needed)
Browse forums for on-going exams that would not have been published yet. I'm sure we did forget a few which are nearly ready to put on-line.Make a list with status for each forgotten exam.
Release existing beta exams (volunteer needed)
For each beta or under construction exam (see status from here http://www.javablackbelt.com/TestDefListing.wwa
), identify those who have enough (or nearly enough) released questions in each category.Once they are listed, start a discussion with each concerned exam leader and try to get the decision (if appropriate) to release the exam (which is just a flag to turn on).
Create Groovy objectives (Eric Wendelin)
Eric proposed to create objectives for a first Groovy exam.Create Scala objectives (Johnny)
Johnny proposed to create objectives for a first Scala exam.SOA - define scope (Piotr)
Piotr proposed to work on SAO exams.I suggest to limit first to define what would cover a first exam ("SAO" in such is too broad/vague), before we start writing objectives. Remember for "Ajax", we had hard time defining what would be in "Ajax basic" (which finally was given up as such).
Backlog
In an upcoming sprint, it might be a good idea to think about these tasks:
... to be continued.
