Is the feature backlog public? If so, where can I find it? Is there an indication on which features will be implemented when?
Actually, there are a lot of things I would like to see added, but I guess most of them will probably be proposed already in the past by someone else...

No, but it should.
During the 2 next weeks, we implement fixes and improvements of the exisiting features of the v4.
Then, I'll publish a public backlog, it's a good idea.
In the meanwhile, let's give you a first idea of what we have in mind:
Black Belt 3
Contribution Points for Referencing 6
Prevent Newbies from Adding Content 7
Friends 5
LinkedIn/Facebook widgets 20
Learning Steps 5
Access to course chapters for points/money 10
Groups Basics 10
CV Page 5
Learning Help Forum 10
The order above can change without problem. We should just take into account that:
Black belt probably urges
We cannot prevent newbies from adding content before they have another way to get points (referencing). And we cannot guarantee exam's quality unless we prevent newbies from adding content.
Learning steps should come before (and will ease) development of Access to course chapters for points/money
Additional stories include:
internationalization (especially the text of the courses, then the text of exam questions) 15
programming tasks 15
re-programming the exam's UI with Vaadin and rollout the last Struts screens, including
community exams 20
enterprise edition features 15
skillscan 15
OpenId login 5
Badges (similar to StackOverflow) 5

That looks like a huge backlog... How many developers do you have to implement all this?

Just two, starting this week.
But these are two efficient rock stars: Nicolas Brasseur and myself

In my opinion there is still one BIG problem in current version: PERFORMANCE.
I got same question from different students four times:
Why it is so slow?
Please consider to add performance analysis/profiling/improvements to your Backlog.

I'm affraid I have to agree... Sometimes, I get a warning message saying the script is unresponsive:
If I click 'Stop script', the next screen will look really bad:

I'm working on it guys.
In this thread I've shown a high level backlog. We have a short term backlog which includes the things we have released this week-end, performance, the things for which I ask your help on requirements in this forum, and other coached e-learning improvements.
The version of this evening (not deployed yet) is already faster than the one of this morning. The problem is mostly client-side (the script message that you show in your screenshot is a good indicator of that). On my machine, it rocks. I reach a point where it's difficult to test speed improvements. Could you please tell me:
- do you have an idea how I could make the problem appear on my fast machine?
- which few pages are the most critical (considering amount of people going there, not only the current speed) arrcoding to you?
